AFTERNOON SESSION Kids Intermediate Cooking Class Program- 5 Sessions

As part of HSG’s corporate responsibility to give back to the community, we are enrolling our cooking class students in a program to not only advance their personal cooking skills, but to be able to support this give back program for those in need of a home cooked meal.

Its no surprise that the current financial times is seeing alot more families looking at their household budgets, reviewing extra activities that are considered non essential and for some, having to focus on paying rent before even food is considered.

This program will revolve around 5 cooking class sessions, we will be removing the family dinner component as previously included and replacing the concept whereby each class we will be making family style slab meals.

Each student will make 2 slabs of each dedicated meal. 1 will go home with the student cooking and the other will be donated to Andy’s Place who feed the homeless and families in need locally.

Andy’s Place currently offers 3 days of meal service to those in need (no questions asked) and these meals will be delivered fresh for this purpose. Some may be portioned down as individual serves for quick heating, others may be given as slabs to families in between pays or additional support services.

These classes will be tailored for kids from 11-16years old and all foods supplied.

Kids will have access to an apron, knives & all kitchen stuff and will need to wear enclosed footwear & bring a water bottle with them.

MONDAY 6/11/23- Rissoles with Onion Gravy & Veg

MONDAY 20/11/23- Roast Pumpkin, Spinach & Feta Canneloni

MONDAY 27/11/23- Lamb Moussaka

These sessions are non transferable for other sessions and must be used in the sequence as listed above.
